G2 Hel, the female League of Legends team of G2 Esports, have qualified to the playoffs of the Liga Nexo after yesterday’s victory vs Green Dolphin Gaming. They have become the first-ever female team to qualify to the playoffs of the 2nd tier of a European Regional League.
The Liga Nexo is the 2nd tier of competition in Spain’s League of Legends circuit. G2 Hel promoted into it by placing 3rd in last split’s Circuito Tormenta and then prevailing in the Liga Nexo promotion/relegation tournament.
Coming into this match, G2 Hel had 3 wins/4 losses, while Green Dolphing Gaming had 1 win/6 losses. In their shortest match of the split so far, G2 Hel got the win after 26 minutes. Zeniv pulled out her Vayne toplane pocket pick for the first time this split, finishing with a KDA of 7/1/2.

G2 Hel’s final Liga Nexo regular season match is scheduled for tomorrow, the 5th of June, 20:00 CEST, versus Monta Club. Regardless of the result, G2 Hel will finish in the Top 6 and proceed to the playoffs.
