G2 Hel finish in last place of the Swedish 1st division with a 3-15 record
They'll have to play in relegations to keep their spot in the 1st division.
G2 Hel, the female League of Legends team of G2 Esports, have finished in 10th place of the Svenska Onlineligan Division 1. Their final record has been 3 wins, 15 defeats. The regular season concluded yesterday with the final matchday.
Yesterday G2 Hel played their last match of the regular season, facing Karolinerna. The two of them played against each other earlier this year as well, as they both competed in the Northern LoL Championship Division 2 spring split and were relegated. History repeated itself, as just as in the NLC, the final result was 2-0 in favor of Karolinerna. They finished 3rd with a 11-7 record and will proceed to the playoffs.
The bottom 3 teams for Division 1, including G2 Hel, will play in the relegation tournament and fight to keep their spots in Division 1. They will face the top 3 teams from Division 2, which are not yet set.
G2 Hel also have competitive obligations outside of the Svenska Onlineligan, with their next match taking place tomorrow at 21:00 CEST. They face Team GO Aurora in the semifinal of the Coupe des Étoiles, the official French female tournament, which G2 Hel can compete in due to having 2 French players (midlaner Sha, support Colomblbl). It’s a repeat of the Equal Esports Cup semifinal, where G2 Hel won 2-1.
