G2 Hel drop to last place in the Northern LoL Championship Division 2 after 6th consecutive defeat
It's been a rough split for G2 Hel so far.
G2 Hel, the female League of Legends team of G2 Esports, is still searching for its first win in the Northern LoL Championship Division 2 after being defeated by Ruzen Esports yesterday.

In combination with UniQ’s first win, which was achieved on Friday against Rich Gang, G2 Hel is now the only team left with no wins in the league, and therefore sole occupants of 10th place. At the end of the split, the bottom 2 teams will participate in the Promotion Tournament, fighting to keep their spot in Division 2.
However, the results by themselves don’t tell the whole story. G2 Hel had extremely close games versus Garden Gaming and KAOS e-sport, who are currently 5th and 7th respectively. If those games had gone slightly differently, the situation right now wouldn’t be like this. There’s still time for G2 Hel to shake off the rough beginning and have a successful split.
I reached out to representatives from both teams for post-game comments:
G2 Hel coach Emtest:
“We’ve put a lot of practice into the early game in the beginning of the season, and that has shown. What we're struggling with is translating that early game lead into the mid / late game and that’s something we're working towards in scrims.
Our goals before this split were to make our players into the best versions of themselves and to win everything along the way. The split is long and we have time to make the adjustments necesary to achieve these goals. Focus needs to be put on the process of developing the players, this is the only way to achieve the results we want.
To the supporters of G2 and the female scene: thank you for your continuous belief in us. We are doing everything in our power to rise from this rough start and we appreciate your support!”
Ruzeh Esports jungler Flamyy:
“I felt stressed coming into the game versus G2 Hel, mainly because the game was streamed to a big audience. There was uncertainty when they invaded, but thankfully my teammates reacted properly. Also, Shiina losing her Flash in the invade made my early game easier.”
“G2 Hel played the early game well except for flipping with invades on my red buff. Their performance started falling off in the midgame and things became cleaner for us. Special praise for my support, Grisen, whose Blitzcrank hooks made a lot of fights 5v4 in our favor.”
