The Coupe des Étoiles, which is the annual French female/non-binary League of Legends championship, concluded yesterday with the LAN final in Paris. G2 Hel scored a 2-1 victory over the Team BDS Valkyries and were crowned champions.
The Coupe des Étoiles final was the culmination of 4 separate qualifiers taking place from June to September, followed by online playoffs in October. A total of 26 teams competed for the 2 spots in Paris. G2 Hel & Team BDS Valkyries were the 2 teams that qualified, overcoming opposition including Team Vitality Rising Bees and the female teams of ERL 1st division organizations: Team GO Aurora, Solary Académie, GameWard Astralis, and NORD Polaris. Going into the final, the competitive record between the finalists in 2024 was 5-2 in favor of G2 Hel.

Team BDS Valkyries scored the first victory, beating G2 Hel in Game 1 after 31 minutes. G2 Hel hit back, tying the series 1-1 with another 31 minute game. After a hard-fought decider, G2 Hel brought down the opposing nexus in 39 minutes, winning the series 2-1 and lifting the trophy.
The Coupe des Étoiles was the final scheduled event for 2024 in the European female League of Legends scene. However, G2 Hel still has competitive obligations scheduled: the Svenska Onlineligan (Swedish league) promotion tournament, where G2 Hel will fight to keep their Division 1 spot against the top teams from Division 2.
