This’ll be the 10th season of Destiny’s career, having began in 2015. He started in Oceania, playing there for 5 years and winning 3 Oceanic Pro League titles. For the 2020 season he moved to Europe and joined Origen, becoming the first Oceanic player to compete in the LoL European Championship. A year later he moved to North America, joining Immortals and competing in the League Championship Series for a year and a half. He then spent 1 split with each of Cloud9 Academy (including 3 games in the LCS for the main team) and 100 Thieves Challengers.
Destiny announced his retirement on the 19th of May 2023, only 9 hours after 100 Thieves announced they’ll disband their Challengers team. He competed there for the 2023 Spring Split, finishing in the Top 6 of the North America Challengers League.
Destiny’s return to competitive play is scheduled for tomorrow 20:00 AEST, in a Best of 2 vs undefeated league leaders Ground Zero Gaming. In his 446 professional career games, he has played botlane only once; a defeat in the OPL 2015 season.
It’s the last match of the regular season and Antic Esports has already secured a Top 4 finish, meaning they’ll be seeded in the upper bracket for the playoffs. The match will be broadcast on the LCO’s Twitch channel.
